Lisi has A LOT of stuffed animals. She wasn’t a dolly girl, but liked to pile her bed up with stuffed toys.
Then they outgrew her bed and it was either her or them…so we built a doll shelf that circled her room, about 16 inches from her ceiling. She really took an interest in grouping the three pigs with the big bad wolf next to Red Riding Hood, Grandma and the Big Bad wolf, so they could wave to each other. Her Bridge family delighted in taking her to Disneyland and buying her all of the stuffed animals of the movies she had seen…so by the time she was in high school, she had more stuffed animals than a carnival!
Right now, they are bagged up in the attic, which has to be emptied. I went to the dread WalMart and got those big suck-it-out storage bags. We’ll drag the old bags down, stuff them in the van, rope them together and haul them up to the veranda, change into new bags and suck all the air out of them. Then they go down into the basement and get hung up on the rafters until she wants them back or I drop dead and someone else has to deal with them.
I had a dream last night that I needed jars of beans and lentils and rice stored in the basement. It was such a vivid dream that I want to go out to the yardsales and buy mason jars. I want to go to a restaurant and buy the big plastic containers they get pickles and flour and other stuff in bulk…..and fill them up with lentils, beans and rice. That’s all I could think about…we aren’t going to need gold or even sugar. We’re going to need beans and rice and lentils.
I am definitely going to get a better ladder.
